Antique A.M.Y.L. Mahogany 3 Section Barrister Stacking Bookcase Glazed c.1910 Description: A fine antique A.M.Y.L. sectional stacking bookcase, dating from the early 20th century, circa 1910–1920. The bookcase consists of three individual glazed sections together with the original moulded top and shaped base. Each section is fitted with a lift-up glazed door which slides back into the cabinet, a classic barrister / sectional bookcase design. Original metal maker’s labels are present, marked: A.M.Y.L. Registered Trade Mark Sectional Bookcases Registered No. 467666 Constructed in a rich mahogany-toned timber with attractive grain and traditional moulded detailing. The sectional construction allows the bookcase to be separated into individual sections, making it considerably easier to transport. Dimensions: Height: 124 cm Width: 87 cm Depth: 27 cm A particularly attractive and practical antique bookcase, ideal for books, collectibles, glassware or display pieces. Good antique condition overall with age-related marks, wear and patina consistent with its age and use.
