An elegant antique oak fold-over card and games table, believed to date from the Edwardian period, circa 1900–1910. The table is constructed from attractive golden oak and features a rectangular hinged top that folds open to reveal a traditional green baize playing surface. Beneath the folding top is a useful storage compartment, suitable for keeping playing cards, counters and other gaming accessories. The table stands on elegant cabriole-style legs with shaped feet, decorative curved stretchers and a small central platform. Its refined proportions and practical folding design make it suitable as a card table, games table, occasional table or decorative side table. Approximate dimensions: • Height: 75 cm • Width: 66 cm • Depth when closed: 40 cm • Dimensions when fully opened: 80 × 66 cm The table is presented in good antique condition, with surface marks, scratches, small areas of wear and other signs of age and previous use. The green baize also displays light age-related wear. The folding mechanism operates correctly. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description. A charming and practical Edwardian oak games table with an attractive warm colour and considerable period character. Collection is welcome, and courier delivery may also be arranged.
