An important original oil painting on canvas by the listed Spanish-French artist José Palmeiro Martínez (1903–1984), a recognised member of the École de Paris. The painting depicts the Venetian Lagoon at Chioggia, with fishing boats, colourful sails, waterfront buildings and reflections rendered in Palmeiro’s distinctive post-impressionist and post-cubist manner. Signed “Palmeiro” to the lower left.
