A large original mid-20th century oil painting on canvas by the listed Spanish-French artist José Palmeiro Martínez (1903–1984), an established member of the École de Paris. Entitled “Los Dahlias”, the painting depicts a vibrant arrangement of dahlias in a vase, accompanied by fruit and tableware. It is executed in Palmeiro’s characteristic expressive manner, combining post-impressionist colour with post-cubist structure. Signed “Palmeiro” to the lower right.
