Vintage Chinese Carved Carnelian Pendant 14ct Gold Enhancer Bail Lotus Flower

A beautiful hand-carved carnelian pendant of rich, glowing orange-red colour with lovely natural translucency. Deeply carved and pierced (openwork) on both sides with a flower and large veined leaves in the traditional Chinese style. The stone is set with a decorative 14ct gold cap of scrolling wirework and a leaf, suspended from a hinged 14ct gold enhancer bail. The enhancer bail opens, so the pendant can be clipped onto a chain, bead necklace or pearls without removing the clasp.
