Antique Early Coalport Covered Tureen & Dome Cover Set C.1840 Blue & Gilt

A beautiful and highly decorative antique early Coalport porcelain serving set dating to around 1840, from a private collection. This elegant set includes: * Two matching covered tureens with lids and ornate scroll handles * One matching dome cover with underplate The pieces feature a refined ivory porcelain body with striking cobalt blue and hand-applied gilt decoration in a classic early Victorian / Regency taste. The styling is strongly reminiscent of early Copeland porcelain, though these are believed to be early Coalport examples. The tureens stand beautifully on shaped feet with richly decorated handles and finials, giving the entire set a very luxurious and architectural appearance. Condition is exceptionally good antique condition overall for pieces approaching 200 years of age. There are no major damages visible, and the porcelain presents extremely well with only light age-related wear and minor rubbing consistent with careful antique use. Matching early Coalport serving pieces of this quality and form are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially preserved together as a coordinated set.
