Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Purse – Birmingham 1907 A beautiful and substantial antique sterling silver purse in the elegant Art Nouveau style, featuring flowing floral decoration on both sides. The purse is fully hallmarked for Birmingham assay office, with the lion passant for sterling silver (.925) and the date letter “h” for 1907. Maker’s mark WT, attributed to William Tonks / Tonks & Sons, a well-known Birmingham silversmith active in the early 20th century. The design displays classic Art Nouveau flowing lines and floral motifs, typical of Edwardian silverwork.
